Mösseberg Kurort is a conference and spa hotel located in Falköping, situated in a beautiful natural area on Mount Mösseberg. The hotel features 74 guest rooms, six modern conference rooms, and a spa section. Our restaurant offers everything from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to conference coffee breaks and festive events, alongside à la carte service. We prepare and bake all food from scratch and work extensively with locally sourced ingredients.
We are currently looking for a Restaurant Manager for Arvids - the resort's restaurant.
As Restaurant Manager, you hold a leadership role responsible for running a sustainable business characterized by a good collaborative climate, where both employees and guests thrive. Together with the Head Chef and Hotel Manager, you will develop the restaurant based on the business's goals.
In the role of Restaurant Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the service department. This includes, among other things:
- Acting as the shift leader for all service staff and ensuring that work in the restaurant and bars runs smoothly. This includes, for example, staffing, sales, and purchasing, and you will also spend a significant part of your working time in the daily operations of the restaurant.
- Maintaining good relationships and close collaboration with customers, guests, and suppliers.
- Ensuring that laws and regulations within the service industry are followed (e.g., environmental and health standards, alcohol laws).
- Assisting our Head Chef in combining food and drink and creatively planning menus with economic considerations in mind.
The formal managerial responsibility for the service staff lies with the Hotel Manager, who is also your direct supervisor.
As Restaurant Manager, you are part of our hotel group together with other team leaders. We are a small team that collaborates across boundaries. It is important to us to think qualitatively, and we always keep the guest in focus. The hotel group is led by the Hotel Manager.
An empowering leader with an interest in craftsmanship
We are looking for you who are trained as a waiter/waitress or have extensive restaurant experience and previous experience in the role of Restaurant Manager or similar. We would appreciate it if you have education in leadership and/or economics.
You are dedicated to the industry, have a great interest in food and drink, and are driven and interested in business development. You have experience in developing restaurant operations and are accustomed to working with organizing larger events, personnel planning/scheduling, and working within set budget frameworks.
You appreciate structure and order, enjoy working at a fast pace, have a positive and open attitude, and are confident in your leadership.
A few words about the practicalities...
The position is full-time with a 6-month probationary period. Working hours vary; you will be scheduled for days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends, but as the person responsible for scheduling, you have the opportunity to plan how you work.
